Why Recycle?

Ken’s Salvage is passionate about green energy and committed to recycling.

  • Recycling creates jobs – Just the Canadian recycling industry alone, employs approximately 35,000 jobs directly. Recycling happens in industries, more recycling plants are built thus creating jobs in the construction sector, more employees are needed in the plants therefore not only directly, but indirectly recycling creates jobs.
  • Recycling conserves natural resources – When pressure is applied to our natural resources, they are depleted quickly. Recycling is the only way to dramatically stop this pressure.
  • Recycling reduces greenhouse gas emissions – Recycling materials saves energy. Contributing to scrap metal recycling reduces the production of greenhouse gases. Scrap metal recycling decreases the amount of detrimental greenhouse gas emissions formed by smelting and manufacturing processes.
  • Recycling saves our planet – We need to ensure a sustainable future for our loved ones. We have a limited amount of natural resources. By recycling we are minimizing the detrimental effects on our planet and creating sustainable practice for our future generations.

Feel good knowing that Ken’s Salvage is dedicated to the most safe and responsible approaches to recycling and reusing our valued resources
